Pediatric occupational therapy (OT) is a specialized area of occupational therapy that focuses on assessing and addressing the unique needs of children from infancy through adolescence. Occupational therapist work with children who may have a wide range of developmental, sensory, motor, cognitive, and behavioral challenges. The primary goal of pediatric occupational therapy is to help children develop the skills they need to participate in daily activities and reach their full potential.
